When most people think about BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu), they think about self-defense only. This is because BJJ is linked with MMA and it is considered as a technical training that helps with self-defense and nothing else. In real life, MMA is a complete exercise that not only helps with self-defense but it is an excellent way to help you boost your physical fitness as well as your mental health. Both physical fitness and mental health are equally important in helping a person live a better life so if you have already opted for BJJ, this will help you elevate your quality of life.

Even if we try to figure out the effect BJJ has on our body, it is so diverse that you will need a lot of time to understand all the technical aspects. The best thing about BJJ is that it has so many different benefits and it favors the weak person. Where other combat-based games heavily favor the bulky and strong, BJJ works better for people who are small in size and very lean. The main thing is that it is a game of elasticity.

If you are good with technique, you know how to hold a choke and how to get out of a choke, you will be the winner. With practice, you will not only be able to hold the choke better, but you will also be able to master every maneuver. In short, at any age, you can become a BJJ master regardless of your gender, size, or weight.

With the help of this article, we will explain how BJJ is good for mental health in general as well as for physical fitness. Apart from this, we will also explain some details about why BJJ is a good game for lifestyle as well. Where most people find it hard to adjust exercise within their schedule we will also discuss how BJJ will make it easier for people to improve their lifestyle at all ages.

Benefits of BJJ in Real Life

In real life, there are so many different benefits that are not only linked with physical fitness but also with overall life. For beginners who are still trying to figure out how a simple exercise or training can change their lives and impact their overall lifestyle, we have listed down some of the benefits.

BJJ classes help people make new friends with steady interaction which helps them with their social life

BJJ helps in curing pain, especially posture-related pains that impact the lower back, neck, shoulder, and legs.

BJJ will help you look more confident by fixing your body posture.

BJJ is good for flexibility and this way it will reduce the chance of injury

BJJ is excellent for weight loss, in fact within the first three months you will be able to shed all the extra fats.

BJJ is good for muscle gain, so your body will become lean and muscular.

BJJ is excellent for increasing strength and endurance which will eventually help you work for longer hours without getting tired.

BJJ helps in increasing bone density by assisting the absorption of calcium. This will eventually help in older age.

BJJ Benefits Related To Mental Health

Most people just relate BJJ with physical fitness and they never think about mental well-being. However, research shows that with the help of BJJ practice you will see an impact on your mental health as well. According to researchers, BJJ facilitates the blood flow toward the brain and this helps in the supply of oxygen as well as nutrition. With a better supply of this oxygenated blood, brain performance gets better. Some of the ways this supply of oxygen helps include:

Memory

With better supply to the brain, it helps with improving memory. In case you have a family history of dementia, BJJ will especially help you with that. Where most people think that this might not be true, researchers found that people with better blood flow towards their brain have seen an improvement in their memory over time.

Focus

Most people get very easily distracted while studying or while performing a task. With BJJ there is simple training that will help you sync your mind and body together. This will help you stay present at a single moment within a single time frame. This eventually helps with all kinds of work and especially enhances the performance of an individual in the workplace as well as in school and other tasks.

Stress and Anxiety

Stress and anxiety are very common. However, with BJJ you will be able to stay ready for unpredictable conditions. Within BJJ practice some exercises help you maintain your physical and mental balance in otherwise shocking conditions.

Depression

Depression is one of the biggest issues in the fast-paced world we live in today. Within psychology, there is a school that says the human mind can be pulled out of depression with the help of an organized lifestyle and exercise. BJJ offers that organized lifestyle and this eventually helps people with depression.

Anger and Frustration

Building up anger and frustration has very serious consequences however, BJJ offers you the opportunity to let out your anger through the skill. With BJJ you will feel more relaxed after taking out your anger on the mat which is a healthy way of expression.

Controlling the Situation

Unpredictable situations can bring serious consequences which is the reason controlling your emotions in unpredictable situations is an art. This art can be taught through BJJ where you can learn how to control yourself in all situations.

Better at Empathy

BJJ teaches empathy which helps you to know how another person feels. In most cases, researchers have found out that people develop empathy and that’s how they become more helpful. With BJJ you learn how it feels to be in pain and this eventually teaches you to stand up for people who are in pain. You also learn to defend them in all kinds of situations which is another plus point and bring society together as well.

Better at Understanding the Price of Pain

BJJ requires full training, this means that you need to work hard and stay on the mat even if you want to quit. This also means that you eventually learn the price of pain and you also learn that all kinds of pain are not bad. Sometimes pain makes you stronger as well which is the reason BJJ training will teach you a lot of good things.

Bottom Line

To sum it all up, BJJ is all about human health and human lifestyle. When you choose BJJ as a part of your exercise plan, you are not just choosing a simple exercise of self-defense it will impact your life as a whole. From the basic food choices that were once just linked to your own choices and nothing more will now be dictated by the workout your plan for that day. It requires complete commitment and consistency.

Where most people complain about the BJJ impacting their life but it still doesn’t bring the best results, it is more about consistency. Quitting the practice after just a few weeks or not tracking the progress to update the exercise will eventually impact your overall plan for progress.

It can be very difficult to work outside when it’s raining or snowy. Even very motivated and determined people can have a hard time in winters working out. The cold days and long nights make it simply impossible to exercise when the weather is horribly grey. But the good thing is in the cold weather, your body is able to regulate its temperature.

So, If you want to get started and you need to get suitable gym clothes first that fit you perfectly, and which should be comfortable in your workout sessions, so for that matter I would give you an honest suggestion to get them from born tough, at the cheapest price with the best quality.

Most people also suffer from seasonal depression because of the greyish sad cold weather.

So, the best way to kill this type of depression is by doing exercise. In today’s blog, I will discuss a few tips with you that will help you to stay motivated and active even in the winter season also.

Dress appropriately.

The foremost important thing (when the temperature outside is cold) is to dress up in an appropriate manner. It means you need to wear clothes that fit you in the right way.

Dressing up in the layers is also the best way to work out in the cold weather because underneath layering traps air, which is a good insulator. Must wear the layers before going out for the workout in the winters to keep yourself dry and warm. The layers should be of sweat-wicking material light-weighted polyester and polypropylene, which helps the moisture to get off from your skin and should aid comfort in your workout.

For an exercise like hiking, running, or jogging try to wear the layers (underneath) that can be taken off, and then can be worn out again later.

Besides that, If you want the best quality workout attire which should be moisture-wicking, you must shop for them from born tough. Must check their websites and see the amazing gym gear and other gym accessories which they are offering at affordable prices.

Exercise partner

Exercising with a partner, family member, or with various groups of like-minded and positive people can be the best way of distracting yourself from the bad weather. If you are hiding in the home due to cold weather or maybe due to pandemics and you are just practicing yoga or running on the treadmill after some time you won’t feel much motivated. So, it’s always better to make new friends or find some partner for your exercise plans outside in cold weather, not only for your distraction from cold weather but also for aiding fun during your workout sessions.

Warm-ups.

I always recommend warm-ups and cool-downs, especially in the cold winters, before doing any exercise in order to prevent yourself from various injuries. Must do some dynamic warm-ups before taking a start for any exercise. Dynamic warm-ups are “moving while you stretch” or stretching through the joint’s full range motions and preparing muscles for more intense exercise to come.

A dynamic warm-up also promotes blood flow and helps you to prevent yourself from injuries and also muscle soreness, as well as also helps you to improve your overall performance. Some of the dynamic warm-ups may include the following exercises

Arm circles

Arm swings

High stepping

Heel to toe walk

Lunges

Step up and over

Exercise in the middle of the day.

Many people get freaked out when it’s greyish dark weather in the morning or in the evening as well. So, they feel demotivated and exhausted too, the best time to workout during the winter season are the top light hours.

If there is too much snow on your way, then go to the nearest mall and have a walk there. So, the main point of concern is that it’s very important to plan the timings of your workout in winters because in the morning or during the late hours you may find various difficulties outside.

Choosing the right shoes to prevent yourself from slipping.

keep your feet warm, make sure you are wearing the correctly fitted shoes, which should have a strong grip and should keep you stable too so that you don’t slip or slide anywhere in the snow. It’s because falling down in the cold can cause serious injuries.

So before going out for your workout, be sure that the sole of your shoes should not be worn out, and your shoes should be in good condition. If the surface outside is too slippery you can also get the shoe covers or you can purchase the snow grip as well. The snow grips can get fixed into the sole of your shoes in order to prevent slipping.

{source}<iframe sandbox=”allow-popups allow-scripts allow-modals allow-forms allow-same-origin” style=”width:120px;height:240px;” marginwidth=”0″ marginheight=”0″ scrolling=”no” frameborder=”0″ src=”//ws-na.amazon-adsystem.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&OneJS=1&Operation=GetAdHtml&MarketPlace=US&source=ss&ref=as_ss_li_til&ad_type=product_link&tracking_id=behealthyandmore-20&language=en_US&marketplace=amazon&region=US&placement=B0B54RSVR3&asins=B0B54RSVR3&linkId=165429e694c585fb5ab66716b3d520f3&show_border=true&link_opens_in_new_window=true”></iframe>{/source}

Protect your vital organs

Before going out in the cold harsh weather you must cover up your head, feet, and ears too. Must wear the thin pair of mittens or gloves (which are made up of lighter, sweat-wicking material), underneath your heavier gloves.

You can remove these heavier gloves if you feel too sweaty. Similarly, you must cover up your head too with a cap along with the headband in order to protect your ears as well. I would suggest you wear a scarf for your neck protection too.

How do you wear a scarf when it’s too cold?

Simple and considered by many to be the warmest scarf arrangement ever. The hidden knot keeps your chest and neck warm. Drape the scarf over the front of your neck so the ends hang backward over your shoulders, in this way you can keep your neck and chest warm.

Stay hydrated

In cold weather, you don’t feel like drinking water, instead of hot drinks may feel more tempting. Winters is the only season of the year when you don’t drink even if you are thirty. But that’s a totally wrong approach. You have to listen to your body needs and try to drink the room temperature water before heading off outside for your workout. For staying hydrated I must suggest you drink 0.6 liters of water before and after your workout. Staying hydrated will also prevent your body from retaining fluids.

Most of the people flock outside in hot weather for jogging, playing basketball, and doing yard work. But when the temperature on mercury scales rises, doing “easy” exercise becomes a difficult physical undertaking, & doing intense exercise can appear deadly. If the body’s temperature regulatory system is overtaxed, you might make yourself vulnerable to developing some heat-related illness. It is fair to state that not everybody wants to get stuck in the fitness center on a beautiful warm day.

Performing exercises in workout clothes outdoors makes you sock up under the sun while adding variety to the workout routine. With an optimized workout routine & the right strategy, your workout regimen can be optimized in the warm weather.

Undoubtedly working out in hot months is challenging. Even the best summer workouts can get you overheated. However, ample sunshine, long days & warmer temperatures give more opportunities to the whole family for going outside & getting active!

Things to keep in your mind

Timing plays a great role: Try avoiding exercising outdoors during the early afternoon. Usually, the hottest time in summer is between noon & 3 p.m.

Hydrate yourself: You must keep yourself perfectly hydrated. You must keep your fluid levels at the top before, during & after you are done performing the activity, you must drink water even if you don’t feel thirsty.

Keep the water with you all the time while you are working out outside. Also plan water stops along your route. So you can refill your tank. Bring your bottle of water with you, or plan water stops along your route.

Dress for your success: Wear lightweight, light-colored, and loose-fitting clothes. Making sure you choose clothes that are manufactured from the moisture-wicking cloth will be of big help. For the protection of your eyes keep sunglasses, a hat & sweat-resistant sunscreen with you.

Listen to the body: To work out more and more do not neglect your body. Make sure you take frequent breaks, cool down in the shade, & drink water before you feel thirsty.

Give yourself proper time so your body can get adapted to the surrounding heat — experts claim that this might take around 4 to 14 days. Your body might not be able to perform exercises as hard as it does during hot days.

See the doctor’s orders: Make sure you check with the healthcare professional before starting the exercise routine or start doing the workout outdoors if you already suffer from cardiovascular, diabetic or any other chronic disease, do not go out directly in the heat before consulting the doctor. You can also do the workout with your friends it will help with the motivation.

Ways of optimizing your Warm Weather exercise regimen

1) Move around More

The warm weather during summertime makes it way easier for being active outdoors. Also, it brings a lot of fun. The simplest way of getting fit & staying fit is moving more and more, period. It does not matter what you are doing as long as you’re staying actively busy. Sit down & lookout for the schedule that’ll fit seamlessly into the schedule.

Keep in mind if it is important for you, you will get the time for it. Every bit of the time counts! Even when you park further from the grocery store or take stairs rather than an elevator it will create a difference.

2) Make It Fun For your self

Take time for finding the warm-weather activity that will work for you & that you will enjoy. Walking is one of the most fun and pleasurable ways of moving around. Estimate taking 10,000 steps per day. If you are new to exercise & that is outside the comfort zone, start setting the smaller goal & then increase it gradually- the number of steps you take each day.

3) Perform quick Workouts on Your Busiest Days

Just going out & moving around more is an amazing place to start the exercise, but if you don’t get the results that you are looking for then you might need to kick up to the notch. You don’t necessarily need to spend so many hours inside the gym doing the full-body workout. You can do an intense exercise session in less than 20 minutes.

Performing HIIT workouts on alternate days is called burst training, you can do the full-body exercises in less time. HIIT involves working out at the very top of the capacity for 45-60 seconds, then for recovery do walking or jogging for around 3 minutes followed by slow jogging, then return to your high-intensity session for another 45-60 seconds.

With High-intensity interval training, you are only required to do 15-20 minutes & that is too minimal or no- equipment exercise. If you are new to HIIT workouts, start them gradually and prepare yourself for a sweaty session.

4) Hydration Hydration Hydration!

Fitness tips for summers are really simple: you must drink more and more water. Overall, the water content in the body is around 65%, staying properly hydrated impacts all the systems in your body starting from temperature to mood. Dehydration also impairs performance & your health. Recommended water consumption depends upon so many factors that include age, your activity level & outdoor heat.

Experts recommend drinking 8–10-ounce glasses of water in a day. Alternatively, your whole body can get divided by your body weight in the half & drink as many ounces of water you can. You must listen to the body. Cramping, fatigue & other symptoms, while you are sweating heavily, shouldn’t go ignored. Sweating hard outdoor workouts means you’re depleting the electrolytes.

5) Keep both of your Eyes on the Weather

Exercise & warm weather raises the core body temperature. As you combine the two while performing intense exercise on hot and humid days — even seasoned athletes need the exercise caution under such conditions. The body cools it by sweating, cooling yourself down is way harder under humid conditions. As perspiration does not evaporate from the surface layer of your skin. Your heartbeat rises as the body works to keep it cool.

So lacing up both of your running shoes or heading towards the tennis courts, make sure you check the weather reports. If humidity or temperature is rising too high up on the scale, consider backing your workout.

An exercise regimen that feels easy on a hot temperate day can be dangerous and have intense effects on the hot and humid afternoon. So you must respect the body and understand that it has its limitations. And you should settle with them. People who have larger bodies such as the elderly, kids & those who are accustomed to rigorous exercises should stay extremely cautious under hot weather conditions.

6) Dressing Appropriately

While you exercise in the heat, what you are wearing matters a lot. Sweat-wicking, light-colored clothing is your way of working out in hot weather conditions. Dark and heavy clothes raise your temperature even more. Make sure you use the right gears— like protective padding and helmets — also the traps heat & raise the body temperature. If you’ve to suit up, you must reduce the workout intensity & duration.

Wear UV-blocking protective sunglasses & make sure you don’t forget your sunscreen. Choose some water-resistant sunscreen that has a lower SPF number or a higher broad-spectrum on the label. Keep it applied up to 30 minutes before you head out. Continue reapplying the sunscreen as it is directed in the package. Sunburn reduces your body’s ability to cool itself down.

When it comes to daily walks most people keep complaining that they cannot keep up. Similar is the case with basic, simple, and easy exercises that require a little bit of commitment. Just imagine how much more commitment, consistency, and time bodybuilding will require.

Bodybuilding is no doubt one of the most difficult processes for anyone just to look pretty. You don’t just have to spend multiple hours in the gym, you also need to take care of the quality and quantity of food you consume and the water intake.

Overall, it is a difficult thing that will not leave you enough time for anything else, or as Michael B. Jordan likes to explain it, bodybuilding doesn’t leave me enough time for negativity. Overall, it is more than simple exercise or refraining from fast food. It is a tough schedule where you have to focus on your rich protein diet along with multiple gallons of water and multiple hours of a tiring gym session.

When most people talk about dedication, they are talking about bodybuilding. It helps you strengthen your body, tone up your structure, and also helps you stabilize the entire body. However, one thing that most people do not mention is the fact that bodybuilding is hard, it can drain you and it is so difficult. You need to constantly maintain a balance to help your body challenge itself but not push the limit.

Another important thing is that body-building exercises are mainly weight-lifting-based exercises. This means that with the wrong technique you will end up injuring yourself and this can damage your body.

With the help of this article, we will offer some basic tips that will help beginners know in detail about bodybuilding. These tips will also help you speed up the body-building process. Here are the top 11 best bodybuilding tips that professionals will ask you to follow:

Make Free Weight Your Friend

Most people think about bodybuilding and instantly jump to complex, high-tech machines; however, studies show that these machines do not offer a solid foundation for muscle building. On the contrary, simple use of barbells and dumbbells offers better muscle strength. With free weights, you will have a better range of motion and you will become stronger.

Compound lifts and better

We have seen that people move towards isolation exercise without realizing that compound lifts will help them engage their whole body. With heavyweight most beginners end up with injuries, to help you with the basic movement you need something that will help you improve your routine. Simple exercises like squats, deadlifts, barbells, push-ups, and bench-press are very good for sculpturing the whole body and making you stronger.

Find Ideal Program

Most people keep switching the workout plan because they feel their current workout program is not working out for them. This is mainly because multiple workout programs promise you something extra. So many bodybuilding stars also offer programs but it is important to keep in mind that the same workout plan will not work for all.

Give Your Body Some Rest

We have seen people talking about regular or everyday workouts without realizing that their body needs some time to heal. When most professionals talk about regular workouts, they are talking about 4 to 5 days of workouts per week. This means they give their body enough time to heal rather than focusing on overworking.

Arrange Your Workout Plan

Arranging a workout plan is very important. This means that you need to engage your whole body while keeping in mind that you cannot work on all muscles at once. You need to focus on a group of muscles and work on it one day and then move to the other group. This will help the body heal in a better way and you will be able to engage your whole body as well.

Exercise Is Nothing without Technique

While exercising keep in mind that there is a technique behind every exercise that makes it effective. Some people overdo the technique, some are unable to follow the moves altogether which makes it ineffective, to begin with. It is better to learn the actual technique so you can avoid any injury.

Increase Weight with Time

For the exercise, you need to not only track the progress but also focus on increasing the weight over time. Start with simple steps and simple techniques but once you see the progress do not stop there. You need to see progress every day so that your body can be better and stronger.

Focus On Diet

We see a lot of people focusing on a protein diet that helps with healing and muscle gain but most people do not understand the importance of a balanced diet. With the help of a balanced diet, your body will get all the nutrition that will help you gain muscle, lose fat and increase the effectiveness of the exercise.

High Protein Diet Is the Key

If there is one thing that you must add to your diet, it has to be protein. Protein helps in healing your body and gaining muscle. When you exercise, the muscle goes through wear and tear which means that your body needs to heal and that’s where the protein-based food comes in.

Increase the Calorie Intake

We keep hearing that you need to eat more, however, most people do not understand why they need to eat more. When we eat more, our body ends up storing the food however, in most cases it is all fats. By exercising and lifting weight, you are telling your body that you need a lot of calories for building muscles so it ends up breaking down the fat and converting it into muscle fibers.

No Junk Food

Since most people like the idea of readymade, high-calorie, high fat, and high sodium junk food that is readily available, they binge eat junk food for bodybuilding as well. With bodybuilding, it is not junk linked to the calorie count, you also need to make sure that the food you eat has a better quality. With junk food, your body is getting high hormones to synthesize food that will not work for your body, and instead, you will feel that the body is suffering. High cholesterol, high sugar, and high blood pressure can be caused due to the excess of junk food.

Bottom Line

To sum it all up, there is no hard and fast rule of bodybuilding other than constancy. Where most people leave within a few weeks others do not update their workout plan. It is very important to keep track of your workout plan and see which exercise is effective for you and what might not be best. Apart from this, keep in mind that your body needs enough strength and nutrition to cope up with the heavy exercise. Most people rely on a basic protein diet with a lot of fats but forget about minerals, salts, and micronutrients. As a result of this, they end up with injuries and since their body is all fats, it takes them longer to heal. While selecting your food, make sure you are taking enough calcium, zinc, potassium, and other minerals that can help you strengthen your bone and body frame for the tough workout.

The term functional training is widely used for describing exercises that aid in you performing activities in daily life easily. These workouts typically use your whole body — and various muscle groups by emphasizing your core strength & stability. By mirroring such movements in your everyday life, such as squatting, reaching, or carrying heavy objects, building functional strength will help in increasing the quality of your life while reducing injury risk.

The primary word here is function. The function is the purpose. It’s simply the training that has the purpose. Functional training majorly focuses on your movement patterns that have a particular purpose. These moments are intended to ease your everyday moments such as walking, squatting, pushing heavy objects on the floor. It develops your strength in your overall body. Fitness studios are adding these moments in the workout regimen more than ever.

Functional Fitness Training:

Functional fitness exercises train the muscles so they can work together & prepare your body for every day activities by simulating movements that you usually use in your home and at work. Using multiple muscles in your upper & lower body at the same time, functional exercises emphasize core stability.

These moves can be done at your home or the gym. Functional exercises use multiple joints & numerous muscle groups in your body. Rather than only moving your elbows (singular joint or muscle) functional exercises involve shoulders, hips, spine, knees & ankles. This training approach makes your everyday tasks easier, helps in reducing the injury risk while improving the quality of your life.

Functional Fitness for Everyone

If you have not exercised for an extended period or have health issues, it’s a good idea to get yourself checked with the doctor before getting enrolled in any exercise program. If you are pregnant, get yourself checked with the doctor. Moderate physical activity is safe if performed during pregnancy if you are healthy, but the doctor can assess what plays best for your health.

Getting started with bodyweight workouts is also good. As you get fit you can load up more and more exercises for adding challenges. Stay careful not to add too much resistance; it will leave a higher impact.

Bodybuilding-type strength workouts — that mostly just focus on a single muscle group at a time do not offer a lot of benefits, especially in the functional fitness realm. Sheltering at one place might not be the most perfect scenario when it comes to working out, but functional health can be easily maintained if you just remain consistent. You can use the easy equipment that is already available in your house. Such as large water jugs rather than using dumbbells. Functional exercises are typically compound movements that use more than one-moment pattrents.

They are more effective than isolation exercises that use one muscle group at a time. Training multiple groups of muscles at the same time, actually helps your body to function in a better way as a whole unit. It’s a way of training your system rather than individual parts which work independently.

Moving the body in the way which recruits various muscle groups at the same time requires coordination, focus & core strength. The more you train these exercises the better you will get at working the entire body as a single system. Functional fitness training gives an amazing kinesthetic awareness while teaching you how you should move your body parts safely. These skills play an important role in your daily life. Allowing you to move comfortably.

Functional Fitness Routine

If you are a beginner who wants to develop strength or have taken some time off, start here with the bodyweight workout. With workouts such as squats & push-ups, you will focus on the fundamentals that help in maintaining overall functional strength. For boosting the benefits of your training you might want to look into CrossFit’s workouts for beginners.

Glute bridge

The posterior chain — or backside of the body — it’s so powerful, it engages the muscle that you use for daily movement. Integrate this movement glute bridge for strengthening it. Muscles worked hamstrings, glutes, and abdominals. Start this posing by laying on the back with both the knees bent & the feet flat on the ground. Place both of your arms down your sides with your palms flat on the floor. Inhale deeply & start lifting the hips toward the roof, by pushing by the soles of the feet & engaging the core, glutes & hamstrings. Pause while you reach the top of this moment, then start returning to the position from where you started.

Squat

From sitting on the chair to picking the groceries, squatting moment patterns are involved in almost all of the activities that you do throughout the day. Incorporating squats in your regular workout regimen will help in maintaining functional strength while you stretch at a place.

Muscles worked in this exercise are your quads, glutes, abdominals, and hamstrings. Start this workout by standing with both of your feet opened shoulder-width apart, this moment pattern will leave both of your arms straight at both sides.

Brace the core & start beginning to push the hips back, by bending both of your knees like you are sitting in the chair posture. Make sure that the knees do not cave & make sure your chest stays straight. Pause the motion of your thighs while you reach the top of your moment. Then push up with your whole foot at the back to the position from where you started.

Pushup

Push-up is one of the most foundational whole-body workouts that you can perform without needing any equipment. The pushup moment plays a key role in building upper body strength. The muscles that will get worked by this moment are anterior deltoids, pectorals, and triceps. Start this workout by getting into the high plank posture with both of your hands held slightly wider than the shoulders.

While you do this moment your body should get aligned in a straight line from your head to toe. And your gaze should be fixed slightly ahead of you. Start this workout by rolling the shoulders down & back. Then bend both of your elbows & lower down, make sure you keep them bent at an angle of 45-degree till the chest touches the floor. After that push yourself back up to the position from where you started, while ensuring that the lower back stays strong.

Lateral Lunge

We move from front to the back quite often in our day-to-day life. It’s a moment pattern that we repeat often. We do it while walking, lifting weight, climbing stairs, and grabbing something that is placed at our front. Side-to-side, and lateral, movement is not so common, but an important element that must be incorporated into your functional fitness routine. Muscles that will get worked while you perform this moment are quads, glutes, and hip adductors. For doing this exercise, get into the exercise stance by standing with both of your feet held together & both of your arms placed at your side. Then take the big step out at your side with the right foot, bend at the level of your knee & sit back on your hip while you go down. Keep the left leg straight & hold your chest up while you undergo this movement. After that push up through the right foot & return to the starting position.
